Due to abiding by the rules given by the children’s homes we serve, we are not able to offer volunteer opportunities at this time. If you do have special circumstances or questions please reach out.
Since we serve a vulnerable population, our first and foremost priority is to protect the stability of the children we serve. Under most circumstances we are not able to offer volunteer opportunities at this time.
We offer some limited opportunities to volunteer virtually, such as translating things from English to Korean, or needing additional research support for the work we do. If you are interested in one of these virtual opportunities or others, feel free to reach out to see if we can accommodate the request at this time.
As an organization founded by Fulbright Korea Alumni, we love having Fulbright volunteers involved with KKOOM’s mission. Thanks to the support from the KAEF Office, KKOOM is invited on a yearly basis to share about our work with Fulbrighters during their orientation in South Korea. Please contact us if you have an interest in getting involved with KKOOM during your grant year!
Please reach out to KKOOM and give us as much detail as possible about the opportunity.
Be creative! As an organization or as an individual, you can host a fundraiser to support KKOOM’s mission. Some examples of fundraisers hosted by student organizations are a series of events, such as bake sales, galas, or special events to celebrate Korean culture and donate the proceeds to KKOOM.
Yes, we have seen people host fundraisers in honor of their birthday, or a special occasion, such as for Children’s Home, or helping to sponsor gifts during the holiday season.
We would love for you to create a group fundraiser! You can either collect the donations independently and send the total amount as one donation at a later time. Or KKOOM can assist by creating a fundraising page for your group.
