Admin and Operations Coordinator
Position Details
- Reporting To: KKOOM Executive Director
- Employment Type: Part-Time | 15–20 hours/week
- Compensation: $22–25/hour, depending on experience
- Location: Remote; United States (or able to work on a U.S. salary)
- Schedule: Flexible remote with weekly ED check-ins, bimonthly evening board meetings, and U.S.–Korea communication as needed
About KKOOM
KKOOM (꿈) means “dream” in Korean. We are a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit partnering with children’s homes in South Korea to provide youth in the social welfare system with access to education, mentorship, and enrichment programs. The Admin and Operations Coordinator is a key operational partner to the Executive Director, supporting programs, communications, and day-to-day execution in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operational Support
- Track projects, deadlines, and action items for the Executive Director, maintaining organized filing systems and coordinating with vendors as needed
- Prepare agendas, coordinate logistics, and manage follow-up for meetings, programs, and workshops, including scheduling and volunteer communication
- Support cross-cultural communication between U.S. and Korea-based partners
- Manage the Executive Director’s calendar and coordinate scheduling across time zones
- Support onboarding of volunteers and partners, and assist with event coordination for fundraisers and organizational events
Financial & Administrative Tracking
- Track incoming donations and maintain up-to-date financial records
- Collect receipts, process reimbursements, and maintain organized documentation from partner organizations and children’s homes
- Assist in creating financial summaries for donor and organizational transparency
Communications & Marketing
- Manage the main inbox, draft donor acknowledgment letters, and ensure timely follow-up
- Develop monthly newsletters via Mailchimp, including content and distribution
- Coordinate blog posts, written donation reports, and website updates
- Plan and manage KKOOM’s social media content calendar
- Support fundraising campaigns via Meta Ads and Google Ads
- Assist with grant research and reporting
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent KKOOM professionally and authentically; advanced to fluent Korean with demonstrated U.S.–Korea cross-cultural communication experience
- Comfort with basic financial tracking, including donation records, expense documentation, reimbursements, and donor reporting
- Proficiency with email platforms, social media scheduling tools, and standard productivity software; reliable remote work setup with personal computer and internet access
- Ability to work with flexibility and creativity in a small, mission-driven nonprofit environment with evolving priorities; high school diploma or equivalent required
