Projects

Spring Volunteer-led Projects. This April, KKOOM volunteers launched new projects at five orphanages throughout S. Korea:

  • In Seosan, $550 for clothing for newly arrived children and food for a spring outing
  • In Yesan, $500 to take the children on a picnic to see the spring cherry blossoms
  • In Daegu, $405 for sports equipment for the children of all ages
  • In Cheongwon, $150 for a CD player and English language storybooks on CD
  • In Gumi, $50 for a nationwide expats' clothing drive to benefit Korean orphanages and other social welfare centers

First KKOOM Holiday Party. The December 15/16 party at Samsungwon was a huge success thanks to the help of our American volunteer friends in S. Korea. Twenty-five young Americans came to Samsungwon to spread holiday cheer and cook dinner and breakfast for the 89 kids at Samsungwon. Each child received a present, specially packed and donated by American donors. Pictures are available on in the media gallery.
